Born in Israel. BA magna cum laude from the Department of Thearte at the Tel Aviv University. Studied at the academy of music in Tel Aviv and with high profile vocal teachers in Europe and New York, such as Wolfgang Millgram and William Schuman. Regularly attended the international summer opera programs of the IVAI. Sang in Master classes with Siegfried Jerusalem, Hilde Zadeck, HatmuthHoell, Verena Keller, Lucy Arner etc..Winner of the Laubachprize at the International Hans Gabor Bellveder singing competition in Vienna, 2005, and the Schloss Rheinsberg Festival 2009. Recipient of scholarships from the IVAI, AICF, the Ronen foundation and the New York Wagner Society. In 2000 won the Davidoff prize for outstanding achievements in Acting studies and received a special scholarship from the America Israel Cultural Foundation for opera studies in New York.
Performed at the Beit Lessin Theatre and in the Musical “My Fair Lady” at the Performing arts center. Sang with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Sinfonietta. With the New York Chamber Opera sang Spiridione in Donizetti`s “Il Campanello”. At the International Chamber Music Festival in Jerusalem he performed with Asher Fisch and Elena Bashkirova. Sang under the Batons of Zubin Mehta, Asher Fisch, Martin Fischer-Dieskau, Dan Ettinger, Giuliano Carella, Frederick Chaslin, Roberto Paternostro, Ulf Schirmer and others. At the New Israeli Opera sang Joe in “La Fanciulla del west”, Cascada in “The Merry Widow”, Valzacchi in “Rosenkavalier” and Monostatos in “The Magic Flute”, as well as in Shohat`s “Max and Moritz”, Franz in “Les Contesd`Hoffmann” , Tanzmeister in “Ariadne auf Naxos”, Gastone in “La Traviata”, Flavio in “Norma”, the Father and the Governor in the world premiere of Shohat’s “The Child Dreams”, Chaplistki in “Pique Dame”, Jack and Toby in “Aufsteig und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny”, Normano in “Lucia di Lammermur”, Dancairo in “Carmen”, Borsa in “Rigoletto” and has covered Luigi in Puccini`s “Il Tabarro”. He also sang Agenore in “Il Re Pastore”, and Mr. Eiler in Mozart`s “Impressario” with the Israel Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Mannheim sang the role of Judah in the World Premiere of Hamer’s “Lost Childhood”. He also sang the Royal Herald in “Don Carlo” and the Messenger in “Aida” with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Guy has sung the role of Claudio in Wagner’s “Liebesverbot” as well as Gala concerts in Rheinsberg and in Braunschweig.
Being versatile artist, guy also took part in a live recording of Schumann’s “Dichterliebe” at the Israel Festival while singing in concerts and recitals in Israel, Germany, Spain, Montreal, Washington DC and New York, and Beethoven’s 9th with the Brandenburg State Orchestra and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.
Recent performances included Diomedes in “Penthesilea” at the Oper Frankfurt. Gunther in Wagner’s “Die Feen” in Leipzig and Bayreuth., and a successful role debut of Siegmund in the new production of “Die Walküre” at the Opera Leipzig, Wagner Galas in China, as well as four servants in “Les Contesd`Hoffmann”, Benoit in “La Boheme”, Borsa in “Rigoletto” and Gastone in “La Traviata” in Massada.
Last engagements included Siegmund in “Die Walküre” and Cludio in “Das Liebesverbot” in Leipzig, and a world Premiere of H. Permont Opera, as well as Abdallo in Nabucco in Tel Aviv.
Current engagements include “Norma” and “Lucia di Lammermur” at the NIO and “Turandot” with the IPO.
Mr. Mannheim is now preparing the roles of Parsifal, Max, and Samson.
